The Balsa was born by the amorous encounter between Cesar “Rasty” Moreira, Ecuadorian man of
thousand facets, balsa surfboards shaper, soul surfer, carpenter, artist but also a farmer and VW fan, and Julie “Yuyu”
Daumas from France, a language, literature and French civilization teacher, painter, design, art and
ancestral spiritualities passionate. The adventure began eight years ago when they built the Balsa
from scratch with help of friends, artists and local carpenters, creating a unique place with a magical
atmosphere!
Rasty is realizing his shaper dream of being self-sustaining, working tables from seed, with so much love for
nature, tending the tree from the beginning of his life until surfing it as a surfboard in the ocean! You could have your own balsa surf board!

Rules
Welcome to the Surf Camp Balsa hotel policies present your passport or ID to the receptionist so that we can make a copy and register (each host must show his identification card).
Check-in is at 2 pm and check-out at 12: 00. A late check-out may be possible depending on availability from the hotel, only on notice and by paying a supplement.
Breakfast is included (from 8:30 to 12:00). If you want it sooner, we can prepare an option to take. Please let us know the day before if you need this service.
When you exit the Balsa, please leave your key at the reception, with the exception of the key to your safe (keep it with you). If you have lost the key to the safe, we will break the safe and we will have to charge you $ 20. If you have lost the master key of the room, it will cost you $ 25.
The hotel assumes no responsibility for documents, money or possession left in the room. If the customer refuses to use the safe.
During the day, from 8 to 17 hours, Julie or Jhonny will be at the reception to help you with everything you need.
Beach towels are available free of charge at the front desk, please do not bring towels for the beach. The price for each lost towel is $ 20.
"Unexpected guests" who are not registered at the hotel can enter the room only if they register for the first time and pay additional fees at delivery ($25 minimum plus tax) front. Casual visitors are not allowed. In addition, the hotel is free to refuse admission for safety.
Housing is not transferable.
Pets are not allowed in the hotel.
It is forbidden to bring food, drinks or alcohol in the rooms or public areas of the hotel.
The use of any type of psychotropic substances and illegal drugs is totally forbidden in the hotel premises.
The time of silence goes from 22 hours to 9 hours. Please respect the right of others to sleep.
The customer is fully responsible for any damage caused to furniture or to the premises of the hotel and its property and will pay cash for repairs or replacements.
Your room is cleaned every day. If you do not want this service, please put the small sign on your door.
The sheets and towels will be changed every 3 days. If you want another interval of time please let know us at the front desk.
If you want to smoke cigarettes, please do so in the area of the hammocks (you can ask for an ashtray at the reception). It is forbidden to smoke in the restaurant, the room of cinema and inside the rooms.
We have three modes of payment, cash, PayPal (6% supplement) or credit card (Visa / Mastercard) with a flow rate of 8%. Please pay your stay when you check at the hotel (if you arrive at night, please pay the following day) at the reception from 8: 00 to 17: 00. We may charge to your room your other expenses (restaurant and laundry) so that you can pay the day before your departure. Other services such as SPA, surf pay only in cash.
Balsa also offers a free parking for our customers, it is safe and locked at night.
Please be nice to disable your alarm during the night.
The kitchen is open every day from 8:30 to 22: 00 and every Monday we organise an evening pizza at 8 pm for $10 at will.
