Welcome to Hah-Lay ! Located in Bidart, in the middle of the Basque coast, HAH-LAY, which means "home" in Hawaiian is an atypical and friendly house surf littered in front of the Pyrenees, surrounded by a quiet garden, ideal for surfing, yoga in the best conditions.
The style of HahLay, the furniture and the decoration of the public areas and five rooms gives it a spirit closer to a small hotel than a sports pension. A subtile mix of warmth and friendliness that can be found in Californian or Scandinavian lodges. Sunny terraces, a garden with vegetables and aromatic herbs. external "after surfing" showers and barbecue - plancha available for guests outside.
Initiation or advanced surfing have been set up with pro surfers and experienced instructors for whom pedagogy is more important than performance.
Surfing has evolved a lot these last ten years, Yoga is more and more practiced to warm up, recover but also more generally to learn to channel its energy and to overcome its apprehensions. If it is more and more followers among pro surfers, beyond the effect of fashion and regardless of its spiritual dimension, is that Yoga is a great way to prepare for a harmonious practice of surfing. Adapted courses are therefore delivered in small groups by qualified instructors.
The waves are not always at the rendezvous, therefore many activities are also offered: beach training, stand-up paddle, introduction to the pala (local sport), excursions discovery of the Basque country.
For food, you will not be left behind: the breakfasts and the lunches were elaborated according to the concept "Healthy & Yummy". Everything you eat is healthy, balanced and also greedy !
