Karang Nyimbor Hotel is in front of Ujung Bocor Point, the most consistent wave in South Sumatra, 30 minutes south of the township of Krui. The whole area offers safe, reliable access to a diverse variety of right and left-hand reefs and beach breaks, with waves varying from heavy dredging barrels, long down the line performance walls and open, carvable faces.
Karang Nyimbor Hotel was one of the first surf camps in the area and is centrally located in a beautifully lush, tropical setting, right in front of this majestic surf break. No need for long drives or boat trips; just walk out the front door and paddle into stellar lineups straight from the shore.
Our surf camp offers a nice balance of accommodation; from budget rooms, (2 adjoined double rooms suitable for groups of 4), with shared bathroom facilities, twin share rooms with adjoining bathrooms, a stylish wood cabin with built-in bathrooms and four deluxe bamboo bungalows with attached bathrooms, where you can watch the wave break right in front of you from your own private veranda. All rooms have fans, spring beds and mossie nets. .... oh yeah, and the camp also has the best view of the surf from the various viewing platforms.
The Hotel also has a pool table, ping pong table and free wifi, if you need to keep up to date with the outside world. We also have surf-supplies, and surfboards for hire, and can arrange car/motorbike rental. A complete 'a la carte menu' is available, served daily to you by our friendly staff; there is plenty of fresh fish and all dietary requirements are catered for.
It's a beautiful part of Indonesia, so if you are looking for an alternative surf trip with your mates, or just travelling solo, it is a chilled place to hang with the offer of awesome waves thrown in. And best of all, it won't cost you a bomb.......... you may even save enough to come back next year!
